    A proper penne from Marks & Spencer made without gluten, wheat or egg — so it earns a place in the pantry of anyone with coeliac disease, a wheat sensitivity, or an egg allergy. Cooks up and behaves like regular pasta, which is not a given in the free-from aisle.

    Cooking

    • Bring a large pot of well-salted water to a rolling boil
    • Add the pasta, stir once to stop it clumping, and cook for about 9–11 minutes
    • Check a minute earlier than you would for wheat pasta — free-from pastas can overcook quickly
    • Drain (save a splash of pasta water) and toss with your sauce straight away

    Serving ideas
