    The Korean cup noodle that built a reputation on serious heat. Samyang's Buldak Spicy Ramen in the original Hot Chicken flavour is the one that started the trend — stir-fried noodles in a deep, savoury chicken-and-chilli sauce, finished with sesame seeds and seaweed flakes.

    How to cook

    • Fill the cup with boiling water to the line, cover and leave for 4 minutes

    Serving ideas

    Good eaten straight, but even better with a fried egg cracked on top, a slice of cheese melted through, or some sliced spring onion. A glass of cold milk nearby helps take the edge off if it catches you.
